0 F*CKS.
I wanted to get better at street photography. So on a Saturday in February we took the car and drove to St.Gallen. I couldn’t decide if I want to shoot in the color profile Monchrome HC or Vivid. I’m a big fan of Monochrome as you can see but the Leica colors are so popping and true to color, that I also edited the raw files in color.
I got some decent shots because it was sunny, crowded and some cool characters where walking the streets of St.Gallen.
The shot of the boy above really is my favorite from the whole day. You can see the smirk in his face crossing the street on a red light. Also we just watched Get Rich or Die Trying with 50 Cent and this kid really reminded me of the boy that acted in that movie and played fifty when he was a kid.
I really liked his zero fuck mentality.
Leica colors are amazing, don’t you think? Hopefully you can understand my struggle now from deciding in which color profile to shoot.
But thanks to the preset I developed over time, I get the best out of the Leica raw file in Adobe Lightroom with only a few clicks.
Even if only the people close to me will see my pictures in the future, I will keep following my heart and my passion which is to make people see.
(the world, to make them look, to be present, whatever it means)
The goal with my photography is very simple. I want the person that looks at it to really observe it. To look at it and see different things wherever the eye moves. It doesn’t need a caption for my pictures. Because like I said before, I want you reading this right now and looking at the pictures to see how I see the world. And if we more engage in how others around us see the world, we might have more acceptance, creativity, stories to tell and a new perspective on life.
